We believe that being able to communicate effectively and speak clearly in public is one of the most important and valuable skills your child can learn.

That’s why we encourage all our students to participate in the debating club, which gives them the perfect opportunity to develop confidence in public speaking in a relaxed, supportive and congenial environment.

If your child chooses to take part in this activity they will learn to speak clearly, fluently and effectively, as well as developing their analytical, leadership and team building skills. They will also have the chance to participate in the prestigious ‘Plain Speaking’ competition, as well as inter-school debating and the SIS debating competition.

We are very proud of our debating teams, who are regularly very successful in all divisions of the Inter-school Christian Debating Competition. New members are warmly encouraged!
